Highland Electric Fleets is seeking a detail-oriented Field Support Technician to support live EV site go-lives and perform vehicle inspections, site readiness checks, and documentation. The role travels across the United States and requires proximity to a major airport for frequent travel.

The position offers hands-on training, diverse exposure to EV systems and charging infrastructure, and opportunities to develop project coordination skills in a growing industry.

Qualifications

• Exceptional attention to detail and a high standard for accurate, organized documentation.
• Demonstrated time-management skills, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to driving continuous process improvement.
• Proficiency with computers and standard software (documentation tools, spreadsheets, asset/project management platforms) required.

Responsibilities

• Represent the company at customer locations with the highest standards of professional conduct.
• Support the go-live process for new EV charging sites, including coordinating on-site activities and flagging risks or delays to the Commissioning Engineer.
• Conduct new vehicle inspections, verifying vehicle readiness and documenting findings prior to site activation.
• Assist technicians in asset inspections, diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing customer assets on-site as needed.
• Follow established safety procedures to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.
• Maintain thorough, accurate, and timely documentation for all commissioning activities, inspections, and work completed.
