Job summary

Highland Electric Fleets is seeking a detail-oriented Field Support Technician to support go-live of EV charging sites nationwide. You will inspect vehicles, verify readiness, and document findings while assisting technicians on-site.

The role requires travel to customer locations, strong safety adherence, and excellent documentation habits. We offer hands-on training, diverse exposure across EV systems and charging infra, and certification reimbursement after 12 months.

Qualifications

• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on precise, thorough documentation.
• Proficiency with common software and asset/project management tools.
• Willingness to grow in project management and coordination skills.
• Basic electrical and AC knowledge for field work.
• Ability to read and interpret safety and operating instructions.

Responsibilities

• Represent Highland Electric Fleets at customer sites with professional conduct.
• Support go-live for new EV charging sites, coordinating on-site activities and flagging risks.
• Perform vehicle inspections, verify readiness, document findings prior to site activation.
• Assist technicians with asset inspections, troubleshooting, and on-site repairs.
• Follow safety procedures to ensure compliance with standards.
• Maintain thorough documentation for commissioning activities and work completed.
• Support HV charger operations, including plug cycles and service needs during commissioning.
• Perform LV battery replacements as required.
• Keep tools and workspace organized for efficiency and safety.
• Develop customer service skills to ensure a positive go-live experience.
• Participate in training programs to build technical and project coordination expertise.
