Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Field Service Engineer in Orlando, FL to troubleshoot and repair EV charging hardware and supporting power systems in the field and remotely. You will work with our Call Center, Tier 2 support, and hardware partners to resolve issues, adhering to demanding SLAs.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in field service, hands-on break/fix and commissioning training, and familiarity with electrical concepts.

Qualifications

A minimum of 3 years of experience in a field service role.
Break/fix and commissioning training on comparable equipment.
Working familiarity with electrical and electronic concepts and their practical application.
Ability to achieve and maintain IONNA EVSE partners’ break/fix and commissioning certifications.
Comfort with computer-based tools, including MS Office and Salesforce or similar ticketing system.
Willingness to travel ~80% of each month to IONNA locations, including overnight stays.

Responsibilities

Execute onsite maintenance and repair of IONNA’s EV charging hardware and supporting power systems.
Perform recurring site health checks across your service territory to proactively protect the customer experience.
Partner with field service coordinators to prioritize and execute repairs and site checks that meet SLA commitments.
Operate autonomously in the field, managing travel, parts inventory, and service priorities.
Complete Field Service Reports accurately and on time.
Troubleshoot equipment failures to root cause and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Provide onsite support to facilities and commissioning teams as needed.
