Job summary
Akkodis is seeking a Field Service Engineer / Technician for the Houston, TX Metro area to service and maintain DC fast charging infrastructure. This full-time role involves extensive local travel (80-90%), with a company vehicle provided, to support on-site diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance.
The ideal candidate has electric field operations experience, preferably with EV charging or solar systems, and strong troubleshooting, leadership, and communication skills to coordinate with
Qualifications
- Experience servicing/troubleshooting DC medium to high-voltage EV charging or solar environments.
- Experience with 480V AC / 500V+ DC systems is helpful.
- Leadership in coordinating with suppliers/vendors.
- Strong electrical troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
Responsibilities
- Lead the service and maintenance of DC fast charging site infrastructure for risk mitigation, testing, data collection, corrections and repair management.
- Plan and coordinate major site repairs and improvements.
- Audit field maintenance methods and provide feedback to partners to improve quality and repeatability.
- Develop and support site longitudinal testing activities.
- Conduct electrical forensics within charging station infrastructure.
- Scope of work continuous improvement.
