Job summary

Bruker seeks a highly motivated Field Service Engineer to support advanced microscopy systems in neuroscience and biomedical labs across Europe. The role focuses on installation, maintenance, and customer training, with extensive travel (60–70%).

The candidate should have an MS in a technical field and experience with microscopy or optical instrumentation, with strong troubleshooting and communication skills to ensure optimal system performance and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

Requires an MS in a technical discipline such as Neuroscience, Biomedical Engineering, Physics, Optics, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
Experience with microscopy or optical instrumentation preferred.
Willingness to travel extensively across Europe (60–70%).
Fluency in English; additional European languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

Install, qualify, maintain, and repair multiphoton microscopy systems at customer sites across Europe.
Diagnose and resolve optical, laser, electronic, mechanical, and software issues.
Perform preventive maintenance, calibrations, and performance verification per procedures.
Provide remote troubleshooting and technical assistance; document activities in the service system.
Escalate complex issues and collaborate with engineering teams when needed.
Train customers post-installation and during service activities.
Develop strong customer relationships and ensure high satisfaction.
