Job summary

Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation in Bethel, Alaska seeks an emergency services instructor to teach basic life support and first aid courses. You will prepare class paperwork, report writing, and support the Regional EMS Office in fulfilling its duties.

Qualifications

  • Prior teaching/instruction experience in EMS.
  • Current CPR/First Aid and EMT1 or higher.
  • Knowledge of EMS equipment.
  • Strong communication and computer skills.

Position Summary:

Teaches basic life support, first aid and related emergency courses and prepares all associated paperwork and reports for classes. Helps fulfill the responsibilities of the Regional EMS Office. Promotes public awareness of injury prevention and participates in direct interventions to prevent injuries from occurring.

Position Qualifications:

  • Minimum Education: High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum Experience: Prior experience instructing or teaching, familiar with the State EMS system.
  • License, Certification and Registration: Current CPR/First Aid, EMT1 or higher.
  • Equipment/Tools/Word-Aids: Knowledge of EMS equipment
  • Specialized Knowledge/Skills: Good human relations, excellent oral/written communications, and a working knowledge of computers.
