Job summary

Emerson's Appleton Group is seeking a Manager, Technical Inside Sales to lead a team of technical inside sales professionals supporting Engineered-to-Order products. You will drive profitability, ensure accurate quotes, and oversee order execution while partnering with Engineering, Pricing, Manufacturing, Product Management, and Sales to deliver technically sound solutions.

You will establish performance expectations, develop talent, and foster accountability and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Technical Sales, or related field.
• 5+ years in Technical Inside Sales, Quotations, or related roles.
• Experience leading or developing teams.
• Strong technical aptitude for engineered products.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder influence.
• Willingness to travel 10%.

Responsibilities

• Drive performance by establishing KPIs and improving quote turnaround time.
• Ensure accurate, timely, and competitive technical solutions across lifecycle.
• Partner cross-functionally to resolve complex technical and commercial challenges.
• Drive process improvements and standardize workflows for scalability.
• Provide insights via dashboards, reporting, forecasting, and analysis.
