Job summary

Siemens Mobility seeks a Continuous Improvement Engineer to lead quality control for engineered-to-order (ETO) projects in a hybrid Wendell, NC-based team. You will standardize QC, perform DFMEA, drive RCA with 8D/A3/5-Why, manage ECNs, and implement AI-enabled checks across CAD/ERP/PLM.

You’ll also advance ISO-aligned standards and report KPIs to management. You’ll collaborate with design, manufacturing and audit teams, traveling up to 20% to support Siemens sites domestically and in Querétaro,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering or a closely related field.
• 8+ years in an electrical equipment manufacturing environment with emphasis on design quality, configuration management, or ETO process control.
• Experience implementing and optimizing quality processes using automation.
• Understanding of OETO operations and workflow automation.
• Strong leadership to guide multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Standardize ETO quality control across deliverables (3D CAD, electrical schematics, BOMs).
• Lead DFMEA during drafting to prevent production issues.
• Direct Root Cause Analysis using 8D, A3, and 5-Why techniques to trace issues to design documents.
• Manage ECN process to align CAD models and standards with manufacturing feedback.
• Implement digital error-proofing in CAD/ERP/PLM tools and AI-driven checks.
• Develop and apply rigorous quality standards for all ETO stages.
• Improve KPI performance and support ISO audit processes.
• Communicate quality requirements and performance to diverse audiences.
• Create dashboards and reports to monitor quality trends using Power BI/Tableau.
