Job summary

Siemens is seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineer in Wendell, NC to standardize ETO quality control and elevate engineering standards. You will drive DFMEA, RCA, ECN processes, and digital error-proofing across CAD, ERP/PLM systems, leveraging AI to enhance design quality before production.

You will analyze data, develop dashboards with Power BI/Tableau, and lead ISO-compliant quality improvements while coordinating with global teams and traveling up to 20%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in electrical equipment manufacturing with focus on design quality/ETO.
• Experience implementing quality processes via automation.
• Knowledge of ETO operations and workflow automation challenges.
• Strong leadership to guide multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Standardize ETO quality control for all deliverables (3D CAD models, schematics, wiring diagrams).
• Implement DFMEA during drafting to mitigate quality risks before production release.
• Lead RCA investigations using 8D, A3s, and 5-Why to trace defects to root design.
• Establish and manage ECN process feeding manufacturing realities into CAD models and designs.
• Work with CAD/ERP/PLM tools and AI to implement digital error-proofing mechanisms.
• Develop and implement rigorous quality standards for all ETO phases.
• Lead efforts to improve Quality KPIs and support ISO audits.
• Communicate quality requirements and performance data to engineers and executives.
• Analyze data and maintain dashboards with Power BI/Tableau for management.
