Job summary

Siemens Mobility is seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineer to elevate engineering quality and standardize ETO processes across locations. You will analyze workflows, implement DFMEA, drive RCA, and manage ECNs to align CAD models with manufacturing realities.

The role requires 8+ years in electrical equipment manufacturing, strong knowledge of ISO standards, SAP/Salesforce/PowerBI, and up to 20% travel within the US and abroad. Hybrid work in Wendell, NC is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or closely related field
• Eight+ years of engineering experience in electrical equipment manufacturing with emphasis on design quality/ETO process control
• Experience implementing and optimizing quality processes using automation
• Understanding of challenges in engineered-to-order operations and workflow automation
• Strong leadership to guide multidisciplinary teams without direct authority
• Expertise with RCA methods (8D, A3, Ishikawa) and CAPA processes
• Familiarity with PFMEA/DFMEA and process risk assessment
• Experience with SAP, Salesforce and PowerBI; ISO standards and auditing knowledge
• Willingness to travel up to 20% domestically and internationally

Responsibilities

• Standardize ETO quality control for deliverables including 3D CAD models and schematics
• Lead DFMEA during drafting to prevent quality risks before production release
• Drive root cause investigations using 8D, A3s and 5-Why techniques
• Manage ECN process to feed manufacturing insights back into CAD models and templates
• Collaborate with design admins to implement CAD/ERP/PLM digital error-proofing
• Develop and enforce rigorous quality standards for all ETO phases
• Lead initiatives to improve Quality KPIs
• Support ISO audits and document control activities
• Communicate quality requirements and performance data to engineering teams and leadership
• Analyze data to identify trends and produce dashboards with Power BI / Tableau
