Job summary

Siemens Mobility in Wendell, NC is seeking a Quality Engineer to shape how quality is designed, measured, and sustained in an AI-enabled manufacturing environment. You will partner across functions to improve product and process conformity, reduce risk, and ensure corrective actions deliver lasting results.

You’ll lead PFMEA/DFMEA participation, root-cause analysis, and CAPA using 8D, 5 Why, Ishikawa, and effectiveness verification while driving audits and KPI reporting with Power BI.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive quality engineering experience in manufacturing.
• Experience with ISO 9001:2015, audits, nonconformance management, CAPA, PFMEA, root cause analysis, control plans, SPC, MSA, and process capability.
• Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, electrical diagrams, specifications and lead multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Champion customer-focused quality across assembly operations and translate requirements into quality plans, standards and controls.
• Lead production quality planning for new and existing lines, embedding quality into takt, flow, capacity, control plans, and process changes.
• Facilitate PFMEA, DFMEA participation, and other risk assessments to prevent defects and strengthen conformity.
• Lead cross-functional root cause analysis and CAPA using 8D, A3, 5 Why, Ishikawa, and verification.
• Analyze quality trends and KPIs (FPY, DPU, etc.) and translate findings into Power BI reporting.
• Lead audits of processes, products and systems and communicate performance to teams and auditors.
