Job summary

Siemens EA U.S. headquarters in Wendell, NC is hiring a Hybrid Continuous Improvement Engineer for our Operations Engineering team. You will standardize ETO quality control, drive DFMEA, and lead root cause investigations to improve throughput and product quality.

You will work across CAD, ERP/PLM and QA tools, manage ECNs, and build dashboards in Power BI or Tableau to provide management with actionable insights. Travel up to 20% and relocation assistance are available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years in electrical equipment manufacturing with emphasis on design quality/ETO.
• Experience implementing and optimizing quality processes using automation.
• Knowledge of ETO operations and workflow automation.
• Leadership to mentor multidisciplinary teams without direct authority.
• Proficient with RCA (8D, A3, Ishikawa) and CAPA processes.
• Experience with SAP, Salesforce and PowerBI.
• Knowledge of ISO standards and auditing processes.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% across Siemens sites domestically and in Querétaro, Mexico.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Standardize ETO Quality Control: own and implement QC for ETO deliverables (3D CAD, schematics, wiring diagrams).
• Proactive Defect Prevention: apply DFMEA during drafting to mitigate risks before production.
• Drive Root Cause Investigations: lead RCA using 8D, A3s, and 5-Why to root design issues.
• Close the Feedback Loop: manage ECN processes linking shop realities to CAD models and templates.
• Error-Proofing: implement digital check mechanisms in CAD/ERP/PLM and AI tools.
• Quality Standards Implementation: establish rigorous quality standards across ETO phases.
• Quality KPI Improvement: lead initiatives to improve KPI performance.
• Audit Management: support ISO-based audit activities.
• Communication & Representation: convey quality requirements to engineering and leadership.
• Data Analysis & Reporting: build dashboards in Power BI/Tableau for actionable insights.
