You will be directly responsible for modifying, establishing, and managing the quality control measures of our engineered-to-order (ETO) process, ensuring that custom drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), and all design documents are flawless before they hit the production floor.

This hybrid Continuous Improvement Engineer role is based in Wendell, NC at Siemens EA U.S. headquarters. Located in the heart of the Research Triangle about 20 minutes east of Raleigh, Wendell offers top-rated schools, a mild climate, easy access to mountains and coast, and a cost of living that allows our compensation to go further. • Close the Feedback Loop: Establish and handle a robust engineering change notice (ECN) process that feeds manufacturing floor realities directly into master CAD models, engineering templates, and design standards.
  • Error-Proofing: Work with design software administrators to implement digital error-proofing mechanisms within CAD, ERP/PLM tools, Artificial intelligence tools to automate rule-checking.
  • Quality Standards Implementation: Develop and implement rigorous quality standards for all phases of the ETO process.
  • Quality KPI Improvement: Lead efforts to continuously improve key Quality Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Audit Management: Represent and support audit processes based on ISO standards.
  • Communication & Representation: Effectively communicate quality requirements, improvement ideas, and performance data to diverse audiences, including engineering teams, senior management, and executive leadership.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Use sophisticated data analysis techniques to impact quality performance, identify trends, and predict potential issues. Develop and maintain dashboards using tools like Power BI, Tableau to provide clear, actionable insights and regular quality reports to management.
