Job summary

Matlen Silver is actively recruiting for an ETL Production Support Engineer Consultant to join our client's production support team to provide front line technical support to end users throughout the U.S. This hybrid role requires 3 days onsite per week in the client's Uptown Charlotte office and involves incident management, release/deployment, monitoring, and production governance.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Informatica PowerCenter/CDI, Unix/Linux, SQL, cloud platforms

Qualifications

• Experience with ETL/ELT concepts and performance tuning.
• IDMC deployment and migration processes.
• Monitoring logs and platform health.
• Data warehouse concepts (Oracle, Teradata, SQL Server).
• Unix/Linux knowledge (basic commands, scripting).
• Understanding of SQL databases, APIs, AWS/Azure/Snowflake, and on-prem systems.
• Autosys Batch Job scheduling.
• Troubleshooting & Operational Support.

Responsibilities

• Provides monitoring and support for triaging ETL problems and coordinating with various support teams.
• Performs root cause analysis and communicates the overall status and health of the application.
• Looks for areas of improvement in monitoring, stability, and speed of root cause determination.
• Performs troubleshooting, analysis, research and resolution using advanced query and scripting skills.
• Work closely with Technology Infrastructure Teams, Development & Testing Teams in supporting releases and upgrades.
• Performs real-time restoration and triaging of issues impacting technical services to customers and partners.

Matlen Silver is actively recruiting for an ETL Production Support Engineer Consultant to work for our client's production support team to provide front line technical support to end users throughout the U.S. This includes responding to issues related to Problem/Incident Management, Release/Deployment, Operational Readiness, Application Monitoring, Production Governance related to issues. This role is a hybrid work model that requires 3 days onsite per week in the client's Uptown Charlotte office.

Responsibilities

• Provides monitoring and support for triaging ETL problems and coordinating with various support teams across the organization including activities related to application incident and problem management.
• Performs root cause analysis and communicates with the line of business and management the overall status and health of the application throughout the support process.
• Looks for areas of improvement in monitoring, application stability, and speed of determining root cause.
• Performs troubleshooting, analysis, research and resolution using advanced query and scripting skills.
• Work closely with Technology Infrastructure Teams, Development & Testing Teams in supporting Integrated / Independent releases, software/hardware upgrades, server upgrades.
• Performs real-time restoration and triaging of issues impacting technical services (application/infrastructure) to customers and partners in a timely manner while keeping partners advised of significant progress or challenges during the restoration period.

Required Experience

1. Informatica PowerCenter/Cloud Data Integration (CDI) Development knowledge:

• Understanding ETL/ELT concepts and performance tuning
• IDMC deployment and migration processes
• Monitoring logs and platform health
• Data warehouse concepts (Oracle, Teradata, SQL Server)

2. Unix/Linux knowledge (basic commands/file update(vi)/scripting)

3. Understanding of SQL databases, APIs, AWS/Azure/Snowflake, and on-prem systems.

4. Autosys Batch Job scheduling

5. Troubleshooting & Operational Support

• Log analysis (DIS, Agent Core, Audit logs)
• Incident triage and RCA
• Job failure analysis and performance tuning
• Coordination with DBA, Unix, Network, and Storage teams

6. Splunk/Dynatrace/Service Now knowledge is nice to have
