Job summary

The Nevada Commission of Ethics is seeking an Investigator to lead investigations of Ethics Complaint allegations, plan investigatory steps, review evidence, and prepare summaries for the Commission.

The position requires a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience, strong knowledge of administrative law, and the ability to maintain records, interview witnesses, and provide attorney support, including potential testimony.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent of 3 years of experience conducting investigations in the context, scope and course of legal proceedings.
• Comprehensive skills in computerized investigation and experience in conducting case analysis and witness interviews.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both in oral and written form; appropriate business communication style; writing and proofreading skills.
• Professional demeanor and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, management and the public.

Responsibilities

• Plan investigatory steps and identify needed evidence.
• Review documents, video, and audio evidence.
• Coordinate, execute, and summarize witness interviews.
• Compile evidence and prepare investigative reports.
• Provide attorney support and maintain records.
• Maintain calendars and deadlines.
