Job summary

The State of Georgia’s Georgia Professional Standards Commission seeks an Educator Ethics Investigator to enforce standards for Georgia educators, investigate misconduct, and review licensing integrity.

Under general supervision, you will prepare investigative files, submit reports, coordinate with the Attorney General’s Office on appeals, and testify in proceedings; occasional in-state travel and telework option are available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required from an accredited college or university.
• Three years of full-time criminal, civil or administrative investigation casework experience.
• Law enforcement investigative experience preferred.
• GCIC Security and Integrity training and certification required.
• Bilingual (Spanish or French) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Investigate reports of educator misconduct and related criminal history.
• Prepare complete investigative files and submit comprehensive investigative reports.
• Coordinate with the Attorney General’s Office regarding cases on appeal.
• Testify in administrative proceedings and other proceedings as required.
• Some in-state travel; telework eligible.
