Liberty Personnel Services, Inc. partners with a Global Law Firm seeking to add an Ethics & Conflicts General Counsel in the Washington, DC area.

The role will oversee ethics, conflicts of interest, and professional responsibility matters, advising senior leadership and guiding risk management decisions. The position is hybrid, with a compensation range of $180,000 – $200,000 annually, depending on experience.

Qualifications

J.D. from an accredited law school and an active license to practice law.
Significant legal experience, preferably within a large law firm or sophisticated organization.
Strong experience with ethics, conflicts of interest, and professional responsibility matters.
Experience advising senior leadership and handling sensitive, complex legal issues.

Responsibilities

Provide legal advice and guidance to firm leadership, partners, and internal departments.
Oversee ethics, conflicts of interest, and professional responsibility matters.
Review and address potential conflicts involving clients, matters, lateral hires, and business relationships.
Advise on attorney conduct, confidentiality, client obligations, and applicable legal and ethical requirements.
Develop and maintain policies and procedures related to risk management, compliance, and professional responsibility.
Partner with internal stakeholders to assess legal risks and resolve sensitive issues.
