Job summary

Consumers Energy, Michigan’s largest energy provider, seeks an Ethical Culture & Compliance Manager to strengthen integrity across the organization. You will lead cross-functional initiatives, govern policies, and provide executive-level support to the Executive Director of Ethics and Compliance.

You will develop strategic risk assessments, training, reporting, and communications, ensuring alignment with regulatory expectations and industry standards while fostering a speak-up culture across

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with 7 years of relevant experience; Associate's Degree with 9 years; or High School Diploma with 11 years of relevant experience.
• Experience developing policy governance, training, and communications within an ethics/compliance program.
• Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and advise senior leaders on ethics, conflicts of interest, gifts, and reporting obligations.

Responsibilities

• Develop reporting and materials for executive and board discussions; represent Ethics and Compliance in enterprise forums.
• Advise leaders on ethics, conflicts of interest, gifts and entertainment, retaliation prevention, reporting obligations, and compliance risk.
• Evaluate program effectiveness using culture data, surveys, helpline, and training; monitor corrective actions and speak-up culture.
• Lead ethics and compliance risk assessments, monitoring, and control testing; align with DOJ expectations, ISO standards, and industry benchmarks.
• Lead enterprise ethics and compliance strategy and annual plans to strengthen ethical decision-making and a speak-up culture.
• Lead Regulatory Quality and Improvement (REG IQ) program across high- and medium-risk areas; drive improvements.
• Other duties as assigned.
