Job summary

Consumers Energy is seeking a Manager Outreach to lead statewide community engagement and energy assistance initiatives in Michigan. You will drive collaboration with nonprofits, schools, and government partners to improve access to programs, educate communities on energy safety and affordability, and supervise a team delivering trusted outreach across the state.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 4+ years in a regulated industry or related field.
• Associate's degree with 6+ years of relevant experience acceptable.
• High school diploma with 8+ years of relevant experience acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Own statewide affordability and access engagement strategy for high-burden communities.
• Lead K-12 education system engagement and outreach with community partners.
• Develop scalable education and engagement programs for energy safety, reliability, and affordability.
• Manage community-based contractors and partners connecting customers to assistance.
• Partner with regional teams to identify barriers and implement data-informed strategies.
• Equip advocates and partner organizations with content, training, and resources.
• Integrate community insights into enterprise planning and readiness standards.
• Establish governance and reporting for trust, reach, and program participation.
