Office of the General Counsel (OGC) in the Ethics Law Division (LE) seeks a General Attorney to serve as an ethics attorney. The role provides legal counsel on ethics rules and policies and supports agency compliance efforts.

Candidates must hold a Juris Doctor and be an active member of the Bar; at least two years of professional legal experience after admission. Locality pay and steps apply; starting salary at GS-13 level will be determined on selection.

Qualifications

• J.D. degree from a law school accredited by the American Bar Association (ABA).
• Active bar membership in good standing (any State, a Territory, DC or Puerto Rico).
• At least two years of professional legal experience acquired after being admitted to the bar.

Responsibilities

• Serve as an Ethics attorney in the Office of the General Counsel (OGC) and provide legal counsel on ethics rules and policies.
• Assist in advising on compliance and policy matters within the Ethics Law Division (LE).
