Job summary

The Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts (AO), Office of the General Counsel (OGC), seeks a Counsel to provide legal advice and services to the Director and AO staff, judges, senior court officials, and the Judicial Conference. OGC renders opinions and guidance on a broad range of issues in federal judicial administration.

Applicants must hold a J.D. and be an active, good standing bar member. They must have at least 3 years of post-J.D.

Qualifications

• Active bar membership in good standing in a state, territory, DC, Puerto Rico, or federal court of general jurisdiction.
• At least 3 years of post-J.D. experience.
• Specialized experience: providing legal advice on issues to senior officials; ethics law guidance; identifying financial disclosure requirements.
