Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking an Etch Equipment Technician to support manufacturing and system operations. You will perform setup, calibration, PM/CPM, and failure analysis, documenting SOPs and conducting quality testing for memory chips and logic devices.

You will work with engineers and manufacturing to optimize processes, with a strong emphasis on safety and compliance. Role requires strong problem-solving, SPC familiarity, and the ability to learn new systems quickly.

Qualifications

• Two-year technical certification or equivalent; ASE certs or 4+ years semiconductor tech experience preferred.
• Familiarity with SPC methods and basic tooling.
• Strong MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities; detail-oriented with problem-solving focus.

Responsibilities

• Perform Preventive Maintenance (PM), Change Point Management (CPM), and System Maintenance per SOPs.
• Troubleshoot failures and conduct failure analysis per scripts.
• Monitor equipment and processes; identify and implement process improvements.
• Collaborate with engineers and manufacturing; maintain clear communication across teams.
