Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking an experienced technician to join a talented team focused on establishing and maintaining world-class process and equipment optimization in a high-volume fab. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, respond to tool faults, and collaborate with shift supervisors to keep critical tools running, with emphasis on uptime and throughput.

The role requires a two-year technical degree and 5+ years of Etch semiconductor experience.

Qualifications

• Two year technical degree, equivalent military experience.
• 5+ years direct applicable Etch semiconductor experience in high volume manufacturing environment is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance following standard procedures and check sheets.
• Respond to tool faults / interlocks and assist in wafer recovery with documentation and communication to process teams.
• Work with Shift Supervisor to ensure priority tools are addressed and PM scheduling is covered.
• Resolve unplanned equipment issues and update necessary documentation.
• Provide support for new equipment introductions.
• Monitor and respond to abnormal equipment signals.
• Correct and generate SOPs when required.
• Work with engineering on uptime, performance improvements, and cost-reducing solutions.
• Update maintenance procedures and train other technicians on shifts.
