Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking an Etch Process Technician to operate in a fast-paced, high-volume fab environment. You will work with technicians and engineers to troubleshoot, maintain, and qualify etch equipment while following 5S principles and safety standards.

The role requires a 2-year technical degree or equivalent military experience with 5+ years of Etch semiconductor experience, plus 300mm dry etch exposure. On-site shifts and total rewards are offered.

Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree or equivalent military experience with 5+ years Etch experience in high-volume fab.
• 300mm Dry Etch experience highly desired.
• Familiarity with Lam, AMAT, TEL, Mattson, and PSK platforms; SPC methods knowledge.
• Detail-oriented with teamwork and strong customer service mindset.

Responsibilities

• Support troubleshooting and maintenance with root-cause analysis and 5S mindset.
• Perform tool qualifications, lot dispositions, and interlock troubleshooting.
• Conduct trend monitoring and collaborate with Layer Owners for corrective actions.
• Draft SOP revisions to improve quality and safety.
• Recover Etch equipment after PM or down events and perform wafer recoveries.
• Document tool interruptions to Process engineers for proper disposition.
