Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is hiring an Etch Equipment Technician to perform functions across manufacturing and system operations, including set-up, calibration, system support, preventative maintenance, and quality testing of memory chips and logic.

You will monitor equipment, troubleshoot failures, and work in a team with engineers and production to improve processes. Strong technical certs and IPC/TPM familiarity are desirable.

Qualifications

• Any 2-year technical certification (TTI, ITT, Trade Cert, HVAC, etc).
• 3+ ASE certs or 4 years Semiconductor Technician experience (no cert, passes test) or 4 years equivalent technical Military service
• Familiarity with SPC methods and implementation
• MS Word, Excel and Power Point proficiency
• Ability to quickly learn new systems and adapt to procedure changes
• Strong communication, teamwork, analytical and problem solving skills
• Focused on continuous improvement in fast-paced, changing environment
• Familiar with TPM concepts
• High attention to detail and task oriented; value on customer service, teamwork and flexibility
• Ability to meet due dates for action items
• Ability to strictly adhere to SOPs
• Ability to work off-hours if necessary
• Electro-mechanical aptitude, basic hand tools, pneumatics, electricity

Responsibilities

• Preventative Maintenance (PM)/CPM/System Maintenance following SOPs
• Troubleshooting and failure analysis using scripts
• Monitor equipment/processes and seek improvements
• Teamwork and effective communication across the organization
