Job summary

Hopkinton Public School District in Hopkinton, MA is seeking an Extended School Year (ESY) Summer Coordinator to oversee ESY activities, plan events, supervise staff, and maximize educational benefits for students and the community.

This part-time, temporary position runs from early July through mid-August 2027, reporting to the Director of Student Services. Licensure eligibility or a Master’s in Education and experience with students with special needs are preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Education or a related field.
• Licensing eligibility as a Supervisor/Director by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary & Secondary Education, or related admin certification preferred but not required.
• Successful administrative leadership experience.
• Demonstrated experience working with students with special needs.
• Alternatives to the above qualifications may be acceptable per the Superintendent and state certification requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee ESY program planning and IEP/instructional planning content.
• Coordinate distribution of classroom materials to ESY personnel.
• Coordinate events, field trips, and activities within budget constraints.
• Monitor attendance, arrange substitutes, and manage timesheets with Payroll verification.
• Ensure a minimum of 20 hours per week are provided to assist staff and monitor daily activities.
