The Wachusett Regional School District is seeking Extended School Year Special Education Teachers to support students across Houghton Elementary, Chocksett Middle, and Wachusett Regional High School during Summer 2026. Positions are paid at $35.00 per hour for certified teachers.

Dates are July 6, 2026 to August 6, 2026 (some positions may end July 30, 2026). The ESY programs include various roles: teachers, nurses, therapists, and related staff.

PAY: $35.00 an hour for certified Teachers

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

• All staff will be paid to attend a 1-hour orientation meeting.
• Professionally certified staff will be expected to work and be paid for up to 12 additional hours for planning and preparation work done before the 1st day with students.

The ESY Special Education Teacher shall possess a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. The Teacher shall hold a valid Massachusetts teaching certificate with endorsement(s) in mild, moderate or intensive special needs as the position may require, while also having SEI Endorsement.

OVERVIEW:

Staff will be responsible for the provision of special education services for students.
