Job summary

Azuria Water Solutions in Orleans, IN is seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team. The role focuses on underground utility projects including water mains and sewers, and requires strong takeoff and cost estimation skills.

You will review plans, solicit quotes, and prepare bid proposals, coordinating with project managers and vendors to ensure competitive bids and successful handoffs after award.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of estimating experience in underground utilities, site development, or heavy civil construction.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and engineering drawings.
• Experience with quantity takeoffs and cost analysis.

Responsibilities

• Review project plans, specifications, and bid documents.
• Perform quantity takeoffs for underground utility projects.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations.
• Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates and bid proposals.
• Analyze labor, equipment, and material costs.
• Identify project risks and opportunities during the bidding process.
• Coordinate with project managers, field personnel, and vendors.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits as required.
• Maintain estimating databases and historical cost information.
• Assist with project handoff and startup after contract award.
