Job summary

Tiello in Portland, OR is seeking an Estimator focused on structural steel and miscellaneous metals fabrication. You will prepare cost estimates for stairs, railings, ornamental metals, ladders, and embeds, interpreting drawings and using Tekla PowerFab for estimation.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of estimating experience in structural steel, strong fabrication knowledge, and proficiency with Tekla PowerFab; Bluebeam and AutoCAD are a plus.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of estimating experience in structural steel or miscellaneous metals fabrication.
• Ability to read architectural, structural, and fabrication drawings.
• Experience with Tekla PowerFab (FabSuite) and related estimating processes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed estimates for miscellaneous metals fabrication projects.
• Takeoffs from architectural and structural drawings and review bid documents.
• Analyze specifications and scope, and solicit vendor/subcontractor pricing.
• Develop competitive bids while protecting company margins.
• Coordinate with detailing, project management, and production teams.
