Job summary

Tiello LLC is seeking an Estimator for structural steel/miscellaneous metals fabrication in Milwaukee, WI. The role focuses on preparing accurate cost estimates for fabrication components such as stairs, railings, and ornamental metals, with a strong emphasis on interpreting drawings and using Tekla PowerFab.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of estimating experience in structural metal fabrication, excellent communication, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Eligibility to work in the United States.

Company Overview:

Tiello has partnered with a highly reputable Structural Steel Fabricator in Milwaukee, WI on their search for a Structural Steel/Miscellaneous Metals Estimator who specializes in delivering high-quality fabrication for commercial and industrial construction projects throughout the region.

Role Summary:

The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for miscellaneous metals fabrication projects including stairs, railings, ornamental metals, ladders, embeds, and other custom fabricated steel components. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of fabrication processes, the ability to interpret structural and architectural drawings, and experience utilizing Tekla PowerFab (formerly FabSuite).

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed and accurate estimates for miscellaneous metals fabrication projects
• Perform quantity takeoffs from architectural and structural drawings

• Collaborate with detailing, project management, and production teams throughout the estimating process

Software & Documentation

• Utilize Tekla PowerFab (FabSuite) for estimating, tracking, and project management functions
• Maintain organized bid documentation and estimating records
• Update estimating databases and historical cost information
• Support continuous improvement of estimating procedures and standards

Qualifications / Requirements:

Required:

• 3+ years of estimating experience within structural steel or miscellaneous metals fabrication
• Strong background in structural steel/miscellaneous metals fabrication (fabrication experience required)
• Experience using Tekla PowerFab (FabSuite)
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and fabrication drawings
• Knowledge of fabrication processes, steel materials, and production workflows
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Eligibility to work in the United States

Preferred:

• Experience estimating projects that include field installation
• Previous experience with commercial or industrial construction projects
• Familiarity with Bluebeam, AutoCAD, or Tekla Structures
• Experience working with project management or ERP software within a steel fabrication environment
