Role Description

This full-time Estimator/Project Manager role is an on-site position based in Phoenix, AZ. The Estimator/Project Manager will prepare detailed quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, and bids for interior and exterior specialty commercial projects, coordinating closely with internal teams and clients. Responsibilities include reviewing plans and specifications, soliciting and evaluating subcontractor and supplier quotes, and developing competitive proposals. The role also involves planning project schedules, overseeing project execution, tracking budgets and change orders, and ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and in alignment with quality standards. Day-to-day activities require frequent collaboration with field supervisors, regular site visits, clear communication with clients and stakeholders, and proactive resolution of project issues.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in construction estimating for commercial projects, including reviewing drawings, specifications, and scopes of work.


• Proficiency with estimating and project management software, spreadsheets, and digital tools used for takeoffs, budgeting, and scheduling.


• Strong project management skills, including planning, coordination of field activities, timeline management, and cost control.


• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities for working with clients, vendors, field staff, and leadership teams.


• Solid understanding of commercial construction methods, materials, and safety practices, preferably in interior and exterior specialty work.


• Ability to interpret architectural and structural drawings accurately and translate them into detailed estimates and work plans.


• High attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously.


• Relevant education or training in construction management, engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered.


• Previous experience as an estimator, project manager, or similar role in commercial construction is strongly preferred.
