Job summary

Metric Geo in Stamford, CT is seeking a Project Engineer / Estimator to support projects from initial estimate through execution. This role combines technical review with commercial duties in a growing excavation and sitework contractor.

You’ll prepare takeoffs, review drawings, manage submittals, coordinate with project teams, and help with pricing and subcontractor coordination on earthwork and civil projects.

Qualifications

• Experience as Project Engineer or Estimator in construction.
• Strong takeoff and estimating skills.
• Ability to read drawings and specs.
• Earthwork/sitework experience is a plus.
• Organized and detail-oriented in a fast-paced contractor environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quantity takeoffs and assist with estimates.
• Review drawings, specs, and bid documents.
• Prepare and manage submittals.
• Support project teams with procurement and coordination.
