Job summary

Bay Insulation Contracting Inc is actively looking for an Estimator in Roanoke, Virginia. This in-office role will manage estimating from initial quotes through job setup and completion, coordinating material orders and deliveries while maintaining open lines of communication with buyers, sales representatives, project managers, and district sales managers.

The successful candidate will read blueprints, perform material take-offs, and work with multiple software systems.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in construction, insulation, or metal building industries preferred.
• Excellent Math Skills is required
• Ability to read basic blueprints and/or construction background.
• Microsoft Office (Excel & Word)
• Ability to learn and navigate multiple software systems and applications.
• Previous estimating experience in a manufacturing environment a plus.
• “Division 08 Openings” architectural terminology knowledge a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide material estimates requested by sales/customers.
• Meets deadlines and scheduled delivery dates.
• Provide material take-offs from job estimates.
• Works closely with our customer’s Project Managers, Builders and Bay’s District Sales Managers.
• Coordinate ordering of materials and follow up on deliveries as needed.
• Coordinates job flow including delegating and follow-up.
• Utilizes strong customer service skills to build rapport and maintain communication with Sales Representatives and customer contacts.
