Job summary

Bay Insulation Contracting Inc is actively seeking an Estimator to be the key contact from quoting through job set-up to completion. This in-office position coordinates project information into material orders and communicates with buyers, salespeople, customers, and plant divisions.

The role requires reading blueprints, basic construction knowledge, and experience with estimating in manufacturing settings. Proficiency in Excel/Word and multiple software systems is expected.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in construction, insulation, or metal building industries preferred.
• Excellent Math Skills is required
• Ability to read basic blueprints and/or construction background.
• Microsoft Office (Excel & Word)
• Ability to learn and navigate multiple software systems and applications.
• Previous estimating experience in a manufacturing environment a plus.
• “Division 08 Openings” architectural terminology knowledge a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide material estimates requested by sales/customers.
• Meets deadlines and scheduled delivery dates.
• Provide material take-offs from job estimates.
• Works closely with our customer’s Project Managers, Builders and Bay’s District Sales Managers.
• Coordinate ordering of materials and follow up on deliveries as needed.
• Coordinates job flow including delegating and follow-up.
• Utilizes strong customer service skills to build rapport and maintain communication with Sales Representatives and customer contacts.
