Job summary

Bay Insulation Contracting Inc is actively looking for an Estimator in Roanoke, Virginia. This in-office role will manage estimating from initial quotes through job setup and completion, coordinating material orders and deliveries while maintaining open lines of communication with buyers, sales representatives, project managers, and district sales managers.

The successful candidate will read blueprints, perform material take-offs, and work with multiple software systems.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in construction, insulation, or metal building industries preferred.
• Excellent Math Skills is required
• Ability to read basic blueprints and/or construction background.
• Microsoft Office (Excel & Word)
• Ability to learn and navigate multiple software systems and applications.
• Previous estimating experience in a manufacturing environment a plus.
• “Division 08 Openings” architectural terminology knowledge a plus.

In this role, the right person will be the key contact from quoting through job set-up to completion and will coordinate project information into material orders sending on to be processed into sales orders. Maintains communication with buyers, salespeople, customer contacts, and plant divisions. This is an in-office position.
