PCL Construction, Inc. within Civil West is seeking an Estimator to lead small to medium estimates, analyze contract documents, and perform quantity take-offs. The role supports the lead estimator and mentors junior team members.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in construction cost estimating, knowledge of bid processes, and proficiency with estimating software and MS Office. This on-site role offers opportunities across regions and career growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in related discipline or trade experience or equivalent.
• 2+ years of progressive experience in construction cost estimating.
• 6 months on-site experience preferred.
• Led pursuits valued up to $25 million in various delivery methods.
• Knowledge of bid preparation and quantity takeoff procedures.
• Experience with estimating software and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Leads small to medium estimates or components of large estimates and reviews all associated bid documents.
• Conducts detailed analysis of contract documents and specifications to determine and validate overall project requirements.
• Ensures the completion of full quantity take-offs of all labor, equipment, and materials from project documents.
• Supports the estimate lead by populating tender forms, generating RFIs, and assisting to establish a pursuit schedule.
• Develops and maintains strong relationships with stakeholders including lead estimator, subtrade partners and suppliers.
• Solicits competitive pricing from subtrade partners and suppliers.
