Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma or trade experience required.
• 4 years in construction cost estimating; 6 months on-site preferred.
• Led pursuits valued up to $25 million in various methods.
• Knowledge of bid preparation, quantity takeoff and procurement.
• Experience with different delivery methods: hard bid, GMP, etc.
• Strong stakeholder relationships and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Leads small to medium estimates or components of large estimates.
• Reviews bid documents and conducts detailed contract analysis.
• Performs full quantity takeoffs of labor, equipment and materials.
• Supports lead estimator with bids, tenders, and pursuit schedules.
• Identifies risks related to site, schedule and market conditions.
• Maintains bid documentation and transfers to project team.
• Develops relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Leads a small team with mentoring responsibilities.

Education

Bachelor’s degree or diploma in related discipline or trade experience or equivalent

6 months on-site experience preferred
