Qualifications

• Ability to read construction plans and specifications to develop cost estimates.
• Strong understanding of commercial construction processes.
• Familiarity with plan rooms and CAD/3D modeling is a plus.
• Ability to multi-task and meet bid deadlines.
• Excellent communication with internal teams and clients.
• Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze specifications, drawings, and plans to understand customer needs.
• Prepare material and labor cost estimates using shop equipment and processes.
• Integrate vendor items and non-metallic materials into estimates and pricing.
• Gather, maintain, and organize bid documentation with price points from multiple vendors.
• Determine factors that influence project costs and create accurate estimates.
• Communicate with contractors, owners, and other stakeholders to clarify requirements.
• Collaborate with fabrication teams for process improvements and efficiencies.
• Support management in improving design processes.
