Job summary

Nucor Rebar Fabrication Midwest is seeking an Estimator to prepare timely bids for reinforcing bars, mesh, and related products. The role requires reading construction drawings, knowledge of concrete structures, and proficiency with estimating software.

You will work within NRF Estimating Program, collaborating with the sales team to assess project scope, bids, and strategies, while progressing through more complex projects under the Estimating Lead guidance.

Qualifications

• Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
• Demonstrable ability to read and understand construction type drawings including structural, architectural and civil type drawings.
• Knowledge of concrete structures, CRSI/ACI standards.
• Proficient working knowledge of aSa Estimating

Responsibilities

• Prepare timely estimates of the quantities of fabricated reinforcing bars, mesh, accessories, and related products required for bidding projects.
• Adhere to NRF Estimating Program and safety standards.
• Progress in knowledge to increasingly more complex and varied projects.
• Communicate effectively with sales teammates regarding estimating and bidding process.
• Review plans to assess project scope and bidding strategy with guidance from Estimating Lead.
