Job summary

I&M Machine and Fabrication, a local family-owned business since 1974, is seeking an Estimator to support our metal fabrication and precision machining operations in Missouri. The role focuses on preparing proposals, pricing, and estimating job requirements for customers.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of estimating in a job shop, reads blueprints, and communicates effectively to refine specifications and ensure accurate lead times. This on-site position includes competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• 2+ years estimating in a job shop environment preferred.
• Must have knowledge of steel and steel processes.
• Must be able to read and interpret blueprints.
• Must possess communication and people skills.
• Prefer a strong background in metal fabrication and machining processes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assist with proposal preparations
• Work with customers to refine specific requirements of a job
• Provide pricing and lead time information
• Provide complete estimates and supporting information to customers and internal processes
• Cost Analysis
• All other duties assigned
