Job summary

BrightView Landscapes, LLC in Austin, TX is seeking an experienced Estimator to review plans and prepare bid information for commercial landscape and irrigation projects. You will gather takeoff data, leverage measurement technologies, and use estimating software and CRM tools to build accurate quotes while developing estimates when standards are unavailable.

Collaboration with Operations ensures smooth job start-up and aligned expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture, Landscape Horticulture, Civil Engineering, Construction Science, Construction Management, or related field, or equivalent work experience
• Minimum of 3 years of estimating experience in landscape or construction
• Familiarity with estimating software; proficiency a plus
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Customer service mindset and collaboration with stakeholders
• Salesforce CRM experience
• Bilingual proficiency (Spanish) is a strong plus

Responsibilities

• Gather, calculate, and compile takeoff data for bid proposals
• Leverage measurement technologies for more efficient takeoffs
• Utilize estimating software and CRM tools to build quotes
• Develop estimates when standards are unavailable using judgment and data
• Analyze bids, margins, and closure rates to shape winning strategies
• Provide Operations with details for successful job start-ups and production assumptions
• Ensure estimates align with production capabilities, pricing strategy, and client expectations
• Identify opportunities to streamline estimating processes and improve accuracy via data/feedback
