Job summary

BrightView Landscapes is seeking a BVG Estimator to review plans and prepare bid information for commercial landscape and irrigation projects. This role will gather take-off data, prepare estimates, and maintain supplier and subcontractor price information.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, experience with HCSS, and strong communication skills. Proficiency in MS Office and On-Screen Take-Off is preferred, with bilingual Spanish a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
• Experience in landscaping industry with estimating and managing landscape and irrigation projects.
• Experience with HCSS.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Customer service experience.
• Proficiency with On-Screen Take-Off.
• Bilingual Spanish a plus.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Gather, calculate, and compile take-off data for use in bid proposal estimates
• Prepare routine estimates and detailed cost estimates for ancillary projects under the supervision of the manager
• Maintain current and accurate information on prices from suppliers and subcontractors
• Utilize standard estimate computer software to present information to management
• Demonstrate role model behaviors on ethics and integrity

Education And Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
• Prior experience in the landscaping industry, with estimating and managing landscape and irrigation projects
• Experience with HCSS
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Customer service experience
• Proficiency with On-Screen Take-Off
• Strong work ethic with the ability to manage deadlines, prioritize tasks, and perform in a fast-paced environment
• Bilingual (Spanish) a plus

Physical Demands/Requirements

• Constant operation of a computer and other office equipment, such as alaptop, acell phone, and printers/copiers
• Position is sedentary; must be able to remain in a stationary position for a majority of time
• Ability to maintain, in your possession at all times, required medications to address any known allergic reactions should they occur

Work Environment

• This role works in an indoor office work environment.
