• 10+ years of heavy civil construction estimating experience.
• Experience estimating highway, roadway, bridge, and transportation infrastructure projects.
• Strong background in public-sector construction bidding (NJDOT, NJTA, PANYNJ, PennDOT or similar).
• Proficiency with estimating software and Excel.

Responsabilités

• Prepare detailed, accurate, and competitive estimates for heavy civil construction projects.

We're Hiring! Experienced Estimator – Heavy Civil Construction

IEW Construction Group | Hamilton, NJ | Full-Time | On-Site

IEW Construction Group is seeking an Experienced Heavy Civil Estimator to join our Estimating Department as we continue to grow and expand our portfolio of major infrastructure projects.

We specialize in heavy highway, roadway, bridge, and transportation infrastructure construction throughout New Jersey and the surrounding region.

We are looking for a highly experienced estimator with a strong understanding of heavy civil construction means and methods, competitive bidding, project costs, and public infrastructure contracts.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed, accurate, and competitive estimates for heavy civil construction projects.
• Review plans, specifications, bid documents, and contract requirements.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and develop detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
• Evaluate construction means and methods, production rates, project risks, and scheduling requirements.
• Solicit, review, and analyze subcontractor and supplier proposals.
• Participate in bid reviews, value engineering, and preconstruction planning.
• Collaborate with Executive Management, Operations, and Project Management teams to develop competitive bidding strategies.
• Assist with the transition of awarded projects from Estimating to Operations.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior estimating personnel, as appropriate.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of heavy civil construction estimating experience preferred.
• Extensive experience estimating highway, roadway, bridge, and transportation infrastructure projects.
• Strong background in public-sector construction bidding, including NJDOT, NJTA, PANYNJ, PennDOT, or similar agencies.
• Thorough understanding of heavy civil construction operations, production rates, labor, equipment, and material costs.
• Proficiency in construction estimating software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.

A seasoned estimator who brings technical expertise, sound judgment, and a thorough understanding of heavy civil construction to our Estimating Department.

We are particularly interested in individuals who have the experience and leadership capabilities to take ownership of complex estimates and potentially lead an estimating team as our company continues to grow.

Location: Hamilton, NJ. This is a full-time, in-office position; remote and hybrid arrangements are not available.
