Job summary

IEW Construction Group, Inc. in Hamilton, NJ is seeking an Experienced Heavy Civil Estimator to join our Estimating Department and help grow our portfolio of major infrastructure projects.

You will prepare detailed, accurate estimates for heavy civil construction, review plans and bid documents, perform quantity takeoffs, and develop cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors. Qualifications

• 10+ years of heavy civil construction estimating experience.
• Experience estimating highway, roadway, bridge, and transportation infrastructure projects.
• Strong background in public-sector construction bidding (NJDOT, NJTA, PANYNJ, PennDOT or similar).
• Proficiency with estimating software and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed, accurate, and competitive estimates for heavy civil construction projects.
• Review plans, specifications, bid documents, and contract requirements.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and develop cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
• Evaluate means, methods, production rates, risks, and scheduling requirements.
• Solicit and analyze subcontractor and supplier proposals.
• Participate in bid reviews, value engineering, and preconstruction planning.
• Collaborate with executives and PMs to develop bidding strategies.
• Assist with transition of awarded projects from Estimating to Operations.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior estimating personnel.
