Job summary

DH Pace Company, Inc. is seeking an Estimator to join our Springfield, MO office. The Estimator will prepare accurate, timely, and competitive bids with minimal supervision, supporting the sales staff to drive profitable sales and strong customer relationships.

Knowledge and/or experience in the construction or building materials industry is strongly preferred, with emphasis on reviewing drawings, plans, and specs to select the best products and quantities for each project.

Qualifications

• Experience with blueprints/plans and specs is highly desired.
• Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills, and excellent customer service skills.
• Possess strong mathematical skills.
• Must be computer literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings and specifications to determine amounts and the most appropriate product for the project.
• Collaborate with managers about sale strategies.
• Determine project costs based on products and quantities.
• Maintain strong communication with vendors, customers and upper management.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously to completion.
• Other duties may be assigned.
