Job summary

Allegiance Group in Houston is seeking an experienced Estimator to join the preconstruction team. This role involves budgeting from concept through final bid and handover on ground-up and renovation projects.

You will work with Preconstruction and Operations teams, perform take-offs, review drawings and addenda, and develop bid packages while identifying value-engineering opportunities and maintaining subcontractor relationships.

Qualifications

• Experience estimating for a General Contractor
• Strong knowledge of the Houston construction market
• Experience across K-12, healthcare, commercial, education or institutional construction
• Ground-up construction experience preferred
• Strong understanding of subcontractor scopes and construction costs
• Ability to manage multiple estimates simultaneously
• Strong communication and organizational skills

Salary: Up to $175,000 + bonus + profit share

An established and growing Houston General Contractor is looking to add an experienced Estimator to its preconstruction team.

The Role

You’ll work closely with the Preconstruction and Operations teams, taking projects from initial concept and budgeting through to final bid and handover.

Responsibilities include:

• Preparing conceptual budgets and detailed estimates
• Performing quantity take-offs and scope reviews
• Managing subcontractor and supplier bid coverage
• Reviewing drawings, specifications and addenda
• Preparing bid packages and leveling subcontractor proposals
