Job summary

Build Partners USA LLC in Houston is seeking an experienced Estimator to lead the commercial estimating function for the Houston market. You will own the entire market’s estimating process, manage takeoffs, develop budgets and bids, and build strong relationships with local subcontractors.

The role requires 5-7 years of commercial estimating with a General Contractor, and a strong grasp of the Houston market.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5-7 years of commercial estimating experience with a General Contractor.
• Based in Houston with an established local subcontractor network.
• Strong knowledge of Houston market and current pricing.
• Experience with conceptual and schematic estimating.
• Ability to complete takeoffs, obtain subcontractor pricing, and build estimates independently.
• Proven ability to carry projects from initial pricing through final bid submission.

• Solicit, analyze, and level subcontractor pricing.

• Participate in value engineering and team bid-review meetings.
• Collaborate with the Austin estimating and preconstruction teams using remote tools.
• Maintain current knowledge of Houston construction costs and market conditions.

A respected commercial General Contractor is seeking an experienced Estimator to join their team in Houston. This is a major opportunity for someone ready to take ownership of an entire market, establish the company's local estimating function, and help build out its growing Houston office.

Your Responsibility:

• Lead estimating efforts for commercial projects across the Houston market
• Manage conceptual and schematic estimates from initial takeoff through final bid
• Prepare quantity takeoffs, budgets, proposals, and complete project estimates
• Solicit, analyze, and level subcontractor pricing
• Build and maintain relationships with Houston-area subcontractors and suppliers
