Job summary

The Encompass Group seeks a motivated Junior Estimator to support digital takeoffs and bid packages for commercial hardscape projects in Atlanta, GA.

With 2–3 years of estimating hands-on experience, you will analyze concrete, retaining wall, and landscape scopes, use Autodesk Construction Cloud / ProEst, Bluebeam, and related tools, and collaborate with project teams to prepare accurate bids.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of estimating experience specifically within Hardscape, Commercial Landscape, or Concrete Contracting.
• Demonstrated understanding of concrete details, retaining wall installation, drainage, and broad commercial site construction.
• Proficiency in digital takeoff and estimating software (e.g., Autodesk / ProEst or equivalent dedicated estimating software—not strictly Excel-based).

Responsibilities

• Digital On-Screen Takeoffs: Perform accurate quantity takeoffs using specialized estimating software (such as Autodesk Construction Cloud / ProEst, Bluebeam, or similar tools).
• Hardscape & Concrete Scope Analysis: Review commercial blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications focusing heavily on concrete, retaining walls, pavers, and full-site landscape construction.
• Cost Estimation & Bidding: Calculate labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor costs to build complete, accurate bid packages for commercial projects.
• Vendor & Subcontractor Coordination: Gather material pricing, manage quote requests, and maintain supplier relationships.
• Project Support: Collaborate with project managers and senior leadership throughout the lifecycle of each bid.
