Job summary

McCulloh Consulting serves clients across multiple industries with a strong focus on cost-effective preconstruction. We seek an Estimating Manager for our Houston-area team who will lead major estimating efforts, coordinate multiple trades, and influence procurement strategy from concept through bid development.

You will partner with operations, field leadership, subcontractors, vendors, and clients to deliver competitive bids and negotiated proposals, driving efficiency and profitability.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional construction estimating experience.
• Experience on estimates >$20M and multi-trade projects.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; relevant industry experience considered.
• Strong knowledge of quantity takeoffs and pricing.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed and complex cost estimates for bids and negotiated opportunities.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and surveys from plans and specs.
• Develop scopes of work across multiple trades.
• Review drawings and schedules to develop comprehensive estimates.
• Solicit and coordinate pricing from subcontractors and vendors.
• Manage bid packages and ensure market coverage across trades.
• Coordinate bid days, summaries, and procurement information.
• Evaluate building components and MEP systems as part of estimates.
• Collaborate with operations and field teams on logistics and constructability.
