Job summary

JE Dunn is seeking an Estimating Manager 1 to prepare cost estimates for competitive bids and negotiated proposals, developing economical construction approaches and delivering comprehensive estimates. This role supports vendor pricing, schedules, and project logistics, with mentorship to others and a focus on profitability.

Responsibilities include complex cost estimates, pricing summaries, and coordinating bid day activities.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in estimating or a similar role.
• Minimum education: Bachelor's Degree.
• Mid-Senior level position with relevant leadership exposure.

Responsibilities

• Performs quantity survey of materials shown on project plans.
• Reads and outlines project specifications.
• Maintains an audit trail of the quantity survey from estimate to estimate.
• Supports vendor/subcontractor pricing/bid solicitation and coordination.
• Collaborates with operations and field staff to develop more economical construction methods.
